Module 4- Eat-And-Move-O-Matic

The app that I chose to do for the final blog post is Eat-And-Move-O-Matic. This app is for free on the iTunes App Store. It tells the user from what they eat how much exercise they will have to do in order to work the food off.  This is a great app for Health teachers to use to show their students how much what they eat impacts how much they should exercise and the importance of exercise.

How this apps works is simple. On the left hand side of the screen, it shows different food options that you can from. It also shows how many calories are in that food. On the right hand side of the screen, it shows what movement/exercise you can do in order to burn off the calories. For example, the picture below shows that if you were to eat one bean and cheese burrito, which is about 379 calories, you could do one hour and forty-eight minutes of medium-impact exergames, which will burn all 379 calories.

This app is easy for anyone to use, even if the user has a disability. All the user has to do is  swipe their finger across the two choices and it will calculate the amount of time for them. Even younger children are able to use this app and it will teach them how to live much healthier lifestyles.

This is a great app overall for students and teachers all of age groups to use and help improve their life. The added perk of using this app is that it is for free.
